Ekta has launched a new livelihood initiative with 15 marginalized and economically vulnarable women at Nambikkai Centre in Killai, called “Smile of Women”. Its aim is to give hands on training in garment making enabling these women to gain confidence and become economically independent. This initiative is not just about creating opportunities, but promoting self-reliance and enhancing the dignity of women within their communities.
Every stitch tells a story of empowerment. They are now in the process of taking orders for stitching uniforms of government school children, blouses for women, with aari work and embroidery, Two – minute sarrees and customized work as per the needs of our valued customers.
